Financial Dispute Delays Walid Regragui’s Departure From Morocco's National Team

Negotiations between the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and national team head coach Walid Regragui to mutually terminate his contract have hit a financial roadblock, according to a Hesport source. While both parties have agreed that his time leading the Atlas Lions has reached its end, the official separation is currently delayed over the settlement of outstanding win bonuses.

Regragui, whose monthly salary doubled to 120 million centimes following Morocco’s World Cup qualification, is still negotiating his final payout ahead of his contract’s expiration next summer.

The ongoing financial talks have left fans and commentators wondering whether the celebrated coach will hold out for his full financial entitlements or opt for a swift, amicable exit before his deal officially runs out.
