Ferry services between the Spanish port of Algeciras and Morocco’s Tangier Med resumed Sunday morning after a temporary suspension caused by poor weather conditions in the Strait of Gibraltar, port authorities said.
The Algeciras Bay Port Authority said crossings resumed at 8 a.m. following a gradual improvement in weather conditions.
Sailings had been suspended Saturday due to Storm Marta, which brought strong winds and rough seas, prompting authorities to halt maritime traffic as a safety precaution.
Ferry operators on the Tarifa–Tangier City route said services are expected to resume later Sunday, pending confirmation that navigational conditions continue to improve.
