Airlines operating into Morocco have been told to adjust fuel planning because of a temporary limitation in aviation fuel supply at all Moroccan airports, according to operational information distributed via EUROCONTROL Network Operations Portal.
The notice is valid from 0000 UTC on Feb. 7, 2026 until 2359 UTC on Feb. 13, 2026 and directs operators to refer to NOTAM A0080/26.
Under the guidance, published by aviation groups, wide body aircraft should carry the maximum possible fuel at the point of departure consistent with aircraft performance and safety limits.

Narrow body and medium haul aircraft are instructed to carry double fuel uplift sufficient to operate the outbound flight to Morocco and the return flight without relying on fuel uplift at Moroccan airports except for minimum safety requirements, the notice says.
The operational restriction has circulated as Moroccan officials and consumer advocates debate whether recent weather driven port disruption could affect fuel availability and prices in the coming weeks.
Morocco’s Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development said in a statement it is monitoring stocks and vessel loads in ports and that the national inventory exceeds 617,000 tons of petroleum products, with more than 1 million additional tons aboard ships awaiting unloading.
The ministry also said it identified fuel stations temporarily closed in some flood affected areas to avoid environmental and safety risks.
