Morocco’s foreign minister, Nasser Bourita, travels to Brussels on Thursday to co chair the 15th session of the EU Morocco Association Council, a high level meeting intended to take stock of the partnership and set priorities across politics, security, the economy, energy, digital cooperation and mobility.
The European side will be led by Kaja Kallas, the EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, with European Commission participation through Dubravka Šuica, the commissioner for the Mediterranean, according to the EU Council calendar for the session, which is scheduled to start at 5.30pm in Brussels.
The meeting is expected to review the breadth of bilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional and international issues as both sides navigate shifting geopolitics and renewed pressure on Mediterranean governance, migration and energy security.
