Heavy snowfall in Morocco’s Midelt province has continued for several hours, leaving residents struggling as multiple major roads remain blocked, authorities said.
The Midelt Provincial Directorate of Equipment, Water and Logistics said Tuesday that all main roads leading to the city of Midelt are closed except for National Route 15, which connects Midelt to Missour.
Road closures include:

National Route 13 between Timahdite and Ait Oufella

National Route 29 between Boulaajoul and Boulemane

National Route 29 between Boumia and Agbalou

National Route 12 between Bouzmou and Tinghir

National Route 12 between Imilchil and Agbala
The provincial directorate urged drivers to exercise extreme caution and avoid unnecessary travel until roads are reopened.
Local authorities and emergency teams are working around the clock to clear snow and reopen blocked routes.
Authorities also called on residents to cooperate and follow safety instructions from the Royal Gendarmerie, the National Police and emergency teams to prevent accidents and unexpected difficulties.
