Moroccan winger Yusuf Akhamrich has joined Bristol Rovers (League Two) on loan from Tottenham Hotspur (Premier League) through the end of the season, according to British media reports.
“He’s a young player with real potential who has already shown this season what he can do,” Bristol Rovers manager Steve Evans was quoted as saying. “I first watched him last year and kept him in mind. I started the process to bring him here last week, but we had to be patient while the loan was approved by Tottenham’s head coach,” he added.
The Tottenham winger has represented Morocco at the under-20 level and becomes Bristol Rovers’ fifth signing of the winter transfer window, following Riley Harbottle, Kane Thompson-Sommers, Kofi Balmer, and Ryan De Havilland.
Akhamrich has not yet made a first-team appearance for Tottenham in the Premier League but is a regular starter for the club’s under-21 team.
