Aziz Akhannouch will not run in Morocco’s upcoming legislative elections this year, he told Hespress on Sunday, confirming that his withdrawal from party leadership also extends to the electoral race.
The head of government’s position was stated after he announced he would not seek another term as president of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) at the party’s extraordinary congress scheduled for Feb. 7 in El Jadida.
