The energy bill reached more than 98.69 billion dirhams by the end of last November, down 5.3% compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Foreign Exchange Office.

This change is mainly due to a 9.6% decline in supplies of diesel and fuel oil, driven by a 15% drop in prices, despite a 6.3% increase in imported quantities, the Foreign Exchange Office noted in its recent bulletin on monthly foreign trade indicators.

The “Petroleum gas and other hydrocarbons” segment also recorded a 7.1% decrease, falling to 17.98 billion dirhams, the same source added.

Imports of goods, meanwhile, increased by 9.2% to more than 725.34 billion dirhams by the end of November.
