The Atlas Lions are among the top scorers and assist providers list in the AFCON 2025 group stage.

Ayoub El Kaabi has scored three goals for Morocco at AFCON 2025,  placing him among the top scorers so far in the group stage.

Morocco’s striker scored an acrobatic goal in the opening match against Comoros, helping the team secure a 2-0 win.

He also added two more against Zambia, opening the scoring with a header in the 9th minute before producing a spectacular acrobatic overhead kick to make it 3-0.

Brahim Diaz also featured among the tournament’s top scorers during the group stage.

His first goal came in Morocco’s game against Comoros, finishing from close range to give the team a deserved lead.

Diaz scored his second goal in Morocco’s game against Mali, calmly converting a penalty in first-half stoppage time after a handball was spotted by VAR.

He scored his third goal in Morocco’s game against Zambia, arriving late in the box to finish calmly with his left foot after a cut back from the left flank.

Having scored in three straight AFCON matches, Diaz has become the first Moroccan player since Ahmed Faras in 1972 and 1976 to do so.

The top scorers list in the AFCON 2025 group stage also includes Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez with three goals so far and Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman with two, among others.

Azzedine Ounahi featured among the top assist providers in the AFCON 2025 group stage, swinging in a precise corner for El Kaabi’s opener and delivering another pinpoint cross for his overhead kick in Morocco’s 3–0 win over Zambia.

Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Anass Salah-Eddine, and Noussair Mazraoui each provided an assist for Morocco during the group stage.

The list of top assisters also includes Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman and Alex Iwobi, each with two assists, and Tunisia’s Hannibal Mejbri, also with two, among others.
