CAF has outlined Morocco’s responsibilities as host for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, detailing how the country must handle finances, logistics, and tournament operations.

Under these rules, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) will provide CAF, free of charge, with the stadiums for matches, clear of advertisements, starting 8 days before the tournament, throughout the event, and for 48 hours after the final match.

The FRMF will also supply all necessary equipment, technical staff, and broadcast facilities to ensure live and regular transmission of matches, in line with CAF Media and Marketing Regulations.

Expenses covered by the Federation:

The regulations also make the FRMF responsible for key expenses during the tournament.

It will cover state, provincial, or municipal taxes and provide accommodation for up to 40 team members, from five days before their first match until two days after their last, unless regular flights are unavailable.

The FRMF will also cover round-trip economy-class flights for up to 30 team members from their home capitals via the most direct route.

Travel, accommodation, and a daily indemnity of $200 will be provided for referees and assistant referees for up to 20 days.

CAF officials, including the President, honorary Presidents, Executive Committee members, and the General Secretary, will receive first-class flights, accommodation, and a daily indemnity of $100.

The FRMF will also cover business-class travel, accommodation, and a daily indemnity of $100 for members of the organizing committee, the Deputy Secretary General of CAF, general coordinators and their assistants, honorary members, the Disciplinary and Appeal Boards, the Referees’ Committee, the Medical Committee, and protocol and event management officials.

The daily indemnity for CAF members will be paid for the entire duration of their stay, from departure until return, with a separate daily amount provided for food as agreed with the host association.

Tickets and awards:

The FRMF will also provide match tickets for CAF members, with allocations per game set at 100 tickets for the presidential box, 200 for the adjacent stands, and 300 for category B seating, which is in front of the presidential box.

As to awards, CAF will give 30 gold medals to the tournament winners and 30 silver medals to the finalists, while the third-placed team will receive 30 bronze medals and the team ranked fourth will be awarded 30 diplomas.

Revenue for the federation:

The document noted that the FRMF will receive 20% of the revenues CAF earns from TV, broadcasting, and advertising rights, in addition to keeping all ticket sales revenue.
