Classes were exceptionally suspended on Monday across all educational institutions in the M’diq-Fnideq and Fahs-Anjra prefectures, local education authorities announced.
The decision follows weather alert bulletin No. 2025/146, issued on Sunday, which warned of severe weather disturbances affecting several regions of Morocco. Education directorates said the move was taken in line with recommendations from the regional monitoring and alert committees and in close coordination with local authorities.
Officials stressed that the suspension aims to ensure the safety of administrative and teaching staff, as well as students, given the expected adverse weather conditions. The measure forms part of a set of preventive and precautionary actions intended to reduce risks and protect all school community members during the period of meteorological instability.
