The Moroccan Dirham (MAD) depreciated by 0.8% against the US Dollar (USD) and appreciated by 0.5% against the euro during the week of October 30 to November 5, 2025, according to Morocco’s central bank, Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM).
During this period, no auction has been carried out in the foreign exchange market, according to a recent report by BAM.
Official reserve assets stood at MAD 431.6 billion on October 31, up 0.6% week-on-week and 19.7% year-on-year.
The volume of Morocco’s central bank operations averaged MAD 141.5 billion per day during the period from October 30 to November 5. This was divided between 7-day advances (MAD 66.5 billion), longer-term repurchase agreements (MAD 42.1 billion), and secured loans (MAD 32.9 billion).
