Maroc Telecom unveils new visual identity

Maroc Telecom, a leading player in Africa’s telecommunications sector, has unveiled a new visual identity that the company says marks a key milestone in its strategic evolution and aligns with Morocco’s “Digital Morocco 2030” vision as it prepares for the fifth-generation (5G) era.

In a statement received by Hespress, Maroc Telecom said the rebranding replaces the company’s long-standing blue and orange colors with red, symbolizing vitality, ambition, and pride in Moroccan identity. The new color draws inspiration from the national flag and reflects the energy of a country moving confidently toward the future.

While maintaining the brand’s signature curved lines, the redesign introduces a sleeker, more fluid style meant to represent the flow of data, energy, and connectivity. The design moves away from rigid visual codes typical of traditional telecom logos, instead emphasizing a human and dynamic dimension aligned with the digital age.

According to the company, the new logo features two red arcs: a larger one symbolizing the national network connecting every home and citizen from Tangier to Lagouira, and a smaller, lighter one representing a luminous signal that captures the pulse of human connection and the promise of continuous change. Together, they reflect Maroc Telecom’s enduring link with Moroccan society, bridging heritage and innovation.

As part of the rebranding, Maroc Telecom announced that international goalkeeper Yassine Bounou will serve as the company’s new brand ambassador. The company said Bounou embodies the values at the core of its refreshed identity, ambition, confidence, teamwork, and national pride, and represents a role model for Moroccan youth.

“Changing our visual identity marks an important stage in the company’s history,” said Mohamed Benchaaboun, CEO of Maroc Telecom Group. “It reflects continuity in our values of proximity, innovation, and trust, while opening more fully to the future. The new symbol expresses our collective energy, our drive for excellence, and our long-term commitment to supporting Morocco’s digital transformation.”

Maroc Telecom said the rebranding reinforces its commitment to stay close to younger generations, foster digital innovation and entrepreneurship, and continue improving service quality and accessibility.

The company reaffirmed its goal to remain “more than a technological provider,” positioning itself as a partner in building a modern, connected digital Morocco.

Changing logo is not positive thing, trade mark should stay the same as long as possible, except if they’re merge of 2 company.
