Launch of New Direct Montpellier-Agadir Flight Route
Tuesday 28 October 2025 - 23:14

A new flight route between Montpellier and Agadir was recently launched by Transavia, “keen to strengthen air connectivity to one of the Kingdom’s most important tourist destinations.”

The launch of this direct flight, operated once a week every Sunday throughout the winter, is part of “the airline’s commitment to bolstering offers between France and Morocco during the winter season.”

Agadir thus becomes a new Moroccan destination accessible from Montpellier, alongside other routes to the Kingdom already served by the airline, Emmanuel Brehmer, Chairman of the Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport Board of Directors, told the press.

Transavia, he said, “is now the leading airline in terms of passenger numbers and destinations from Montpellier.”

The airline operates nearly 200 routes from France, including Orly, Lyon, Nantes, and Montpellier, to Europe and the Mediterranean basin.

In 2024, it carried about 14 million passengers and is now positioned as the leading low-cost airline departing from Paris.
