Judicial police in Tiznit, acting on intelligence from national security services, arrested two individuals early Monday for their alleged involvement in a series of car thefts and arson incidents that occurred in the city earlier this month.
The suspects, aged 19 and 25, residents of Douar Al Arab and Hay Al Nakheel neighborhoods, were apprehended following nearly three weeks of on-the-ground investigations, which ultimately resolved the mystery surrounding the case, local authorities reported.

Officials described the operation as “specialized,” citing the difficulty investigators faced due to the lack of clear leads and the clandestine nature of the crimes.
On the morning of Tuesday, October 7, Tiznit experienced multiple incidents targeting parked vehicles in the Saïdia and Afrak districts. The attacks resulted in two cars being completely burned and others damaged by broken windows, authorities said. The perpetrators remained unidentified at the time.
The arrests mark a significant development in the ongoing investigation and reflect the authorities’ efforts to curb criminal activity in the city.
