Spanish club Real Madrid is reportedly interested in Moroccan U-20 World Cup champion Othmane Maamma, who was named the tournament’s best player and top assist provider.
According to the Italian website Tutto Mercato Web, Real Madrid was “impressed” by the 20-year-old winger’s power, speed, and dribbling potential during Morocco’s “exceptional” World Cup victory in Chile. Maammafinished the tournament with one goal and four assists.
Real Madrid’s chief scout will closely track Maamma’s season at Watford to evaluate his potential. The club is reportedly confident that the young talent “can follow in the footsteps of great players like Cristiano Ronaldo.”
