King Mohammed VI has appointed several walis and governors to key administrative positions across Morocco, in accordance with Article 49 of the Constitution, following proposals by the Head of Government and at the initiative of the Minister of Interior.
The newly appointed officials include:
- Khatib El Hebil as wali of the Marrakech-Safi region and governor of the Marrakech prefecture.
- Khalid Ait Taleb as wali of the Fès-Meknès region and governor of the Fès prefecture.
- Mhamed Atfaoui as wali of the Oriental region and governor of the Oujda-Angad prefecture.
- Fouad Hajji as governor of the Al Hoceima province.
- Hassan Zitouni as governor of the Azilal province.
- Sidi Saleh Daha as governor of the El Jadida province.
- Abdelkhalek Marzouki as governor of the Casablanca-Anfa prefecture.
- Mohamed Alami Ouaddan as governor of the Zagora province.
- Mustapha El Maaza as governor of the Al Haouz province.
- Rachid Benchikhi as governor of the Taza province.
- Mohamed Zhar as governor of the Inezgane-Aït Melloul prefecture.
- Mohamed Khalfaoui as governor of the Fahs-Anjra province.
- Zakaria Hachlaf as governor of the Chefchaouen province.
- Abdelaziz Zerouali as governor of the Sidi Kacem province.
- Abdelkrim Ghannami as governor of the Taounate province.
In addition, upon the proposal of the Head of Government and at the initiative of the Minister of Economy and Finance, the King appointed Tarik Senhaji as President of the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC).
These appointments reflect a broad administrative reshuffle aimed at reinforcing regional governance and leadership across the kingdom’s territories, ensuring greater coordination between central and local authorities in implementing national development strategies.
