Morocco’s net customs revenues reached 65 billion dirhams ($6.5 billion) at the end of August 2025, up 8.3% year-on-year, the Treasury General of the Kingdom (TGR) said in its monthly bulletin on public finance statistics.

The figure reflects receipts from customs duties, import value-added tax (VAT) and the domestic consumption tax (TIC) on energy products, after accounting for 63 million dirhams in refunds and tax relief.

Net customs duties amounted to 10.83 billion dirhams, rising 3.7% from a year earlier. Import VAT revenues climbed 7.1% to 40.53 billion dirhams, while TIC receipts on energy products surged 16.1% to 13.64 billion dirhams, including 41 million dirhams in refunds.

Gross customs revenues stood at 65.06 billion dirhams, an 8.2% increase compared with end-August 2024, underscoring stronger import flows and higher energy-related tax collections.
