Passenger traffic at Al Hoceima’s Cherif Al Idrissi Airport rose 7% in the first eight months of 2025 compared with the same period last year, airport authorities said.

The airport handled 92,939 travelers between January and August, up from 86,721 in 2024, according to official data. Arrivals totaled 47,098 passengers while departures reached 45,841, compared with 44,186 arrivals and 42,535 departures during the same period last year.

The facility also recorded 924 flights, 462 inbound and 462 outbound, over the eight months.

Fouad El Khattabi, head of airport operations, credited the increase to improved services and coordination among airport staff, security authorities, customs and airlines, which he said ensure a smoother travel experience for passengers.
