Al-Quds children who took part in the 16th “Harat Al Maghariba” summer camp, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, returned Wednesday to Al Quds after a two-week vacation in Morocco.
Upon their arrival at the family gathering point in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, where they were welcomed by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency team in the Holy City, the children expressed great joy at taking part in what they deemed a “once-in-a-lifetime journey,” highlighting the warm welcome they received.
On this occasion, they voiced deep gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, for this unforgettable opportunity, while paying special tribute to the reception offered earlier this week by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan at the Royal Palace in Tetouan.
Named “Harat Al Maghariba” (Maghrebi Quarter), the 16th edition brought together 50 Al Quds boys and girls, accompanied by five supervisors.
The camp, which officially kicked off on August 12 in Tangier, started with summer school for Moroccan and Palestinian children under the theme: “ Let’s Make Electronic Games a Tool for Education, Learning, and Entertainment .”
The program of this edition, organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication – Department of Youth, combined leisure and recreational activities with educational excursions, exchanges and encounters between Moroccan and Palestinian children.
As is customary, Al Quds children celebrated with their Moroccan peers national holidays, notably Youth Day on August 20, featuring art performances.
