Moroccan winger Amine Adli has joined English Premier League side Bournemouth from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth 29 million euros (33.8 million dollars), the BBC reported Thursday.
The 25-year-old signed a contract until 2028, becoming the latest departure from the German champions, who lifted both the Bundesliga and German Cup last season without a single defeat.
Adli follows the exits of Florian Wirtz, Granit Xhaka, Jeremie Frimpong, Jonathan Tah, and Lukas Hradecky earlier this summer, as Leverkusen undergoes major squad changes after its historic double.
Primarily used as a substitute during his four seasons at the club, Adli scored 23 goals in 143 appearances. In a farewell statement, he described his time at Leverkusen as transformative, saying it shaped him “as a player and as a person.” Bournemouth hailed the signing as a significant boost to their attacking options ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
