Police in Kenitra arrested a man early Wednesday in possession of more than 1,200 drug pills, including ecstasy and prescription medication, authorities said.
Acting on intelligence provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), officers intercepted the suspect as he arrived by truck from northern Morocco, according to a security source.
A search of the vehicle uncovered 1,280 tablets, including 900 ecstasy pills, 380 Rivotril tablets, and 30 grams of cocaine, police said.
The suspect is now under judicial investigation, supervised by the public prosecutor, as authorities work to determine whether he has ties to a broader drug trafficking network or additional accomplices.
