First Lady of Republic of El Salvador Pays Visit to Lalla Asmaa Center for Deaf Children in Tangier

The First Lady of the Republic of El Salvador, Gabriela Rodriguez De Bukele, paid a visit, on Tuesday in Tangier, the Lalla Asmaa Center for Deaf Children, a specialized school under the Lalla Asmaa Foundation.

Gabriela Rodriguez De Bukele also visited the establishment’s different outbuildings and followed explanations on the Center’s spaces and the services provided to deaf children.

Inaugurated in June 2023 by HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa, the establishment, fitted with modern equipment, adopts innovative educational programs and opens new opportunities for people with hearing impairments.

It aims to illustrate the work carried out by the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, recognized as a national and continental benchmark for supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing children.

On this occasion, Gabriela Rodriguez De Bukele also visited the vocational training workshops dedicated to baking, hairdressing, and sewing, as well as the robotics and games workshops.

Upon her arrival to the Center, Gabriela Rodriguez De Bukele was greeted by the governor of the Fahs-Anjra province, Abdelkhaleq Marzouki, the president of the Prefectural Council of Tangier-Assilah, M’hamed Ahmidi, the president of the Municipal Council of Tangier, Mounir Laymouri, the general director of the Office of Vocational Training and Workforce Promotion, Loubna Tricha, the director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Ouafae Chakir, the secretary general of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, El Abbes Bouhlal, and the director of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation Center in Tangier, Laila Mars.
