Gabon has decided to grant international scholarships exclusively in fields considered essential for the country’s development, prioritizing strategic destinations like Morocco.
Starting next academic year, these key areas will include raw materials processing, agrifood industry, food security, digital technology and digitization, aeronautics, renewable energy, and medical specialties.
According to a press release broadcast on Gabon 1ère’ s national television channel, this measure targets financially sustainable destinations such as Morocco and Senegal.
Gabon’s new decision was intended to rationalize public spending while aligning youth training with the country’s strategic priorities.
