Emirates Airlines, based at Dubai International Airport, has suspended all flights to and from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iran due to escalating regional tensions.
The carrier also announced that it will not permit passengers transiting through Dubai if their final destination is one of the four countries, until further notice.
“We apologize for any inconvenience and continue to closely monitor developments, as the safety of our passengers, employees, and operations remains our top priority,” the airline said in a statement.
The decision follows a statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirming strikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, including its main enrichment facility, ballistic missile program, and nuclear scientists.
