Morocco to activate two-way radar speed monitoring from June 16
Wednesday 11 June 2025 - 09:33

Morocco’s National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) announced the rollout of a new automated speed monitoring system that will detect traffic violations in both directions starting June 16.

The initiative, part of broader efforts to enhance road safety, will deploy radars capable of registering offenses from vehicles approaching and moving away from the radar site.

This two-way detection system aims to ensure fairness in law enforcement and promote equal treatment for all road users, regardless of their direction of travel.

According to NARSA, the measure will help identify more violations and close enforcement gaps that previously allowed some drivers to avoid detection.

The agency urges all motorists to strictly adhere to legal speed limits and traffic regulations, emphasizing that the move is meant to bolster accountability and reduce accidents on Moroccan roads.
