Africa Day was celebrated on Friday in Cairo with the participation of numerous representatives from African diplomatic missions accredited to Egypt, including the Kingdom of Morocco.
Organized by the African Ambassadors Group in Egypt, the event highlighted Morocco’s rich cultural heritage through a prominent national pavilion featuring traditional attire, artisanal crafts, and showcases of the country’s top cultural and tourist destinations, including its most iconic historical landmarks.
Moroccan cuisine, renowned for its diversity, authenticity, and unique ingredients, drew widespread acclaim from attendees, with guests expressing admiration for Morocco’s deep-rooted cultural and civilizational legacy.
As part of the celebration, participants were also treated to a traditional Moroccan tea ceremony, further enhancing the immersive cultural experience.
The event served as an opportunity to underscore the richness and diversity of Africa’s cultural landscape, promote unity among the continent’s nations and peoples, and spotlight Africa’s multifaceted identity on both cultural and social fronts.
The Africa Day program, held annually, also featured a group art and craft exhibition representing participating African countries, live artistic and musical performances, and a dedicated pavilion for sampling African cuisine.
