With just two matches remaining in the Spanish football season, FC Barcelona has begun mapping out its summer tour and preparations for the upcoming campaign.
Club president Joan Laporta confirmed that the team is weighing the possibility of holding a friendly match either in Morocco or elsewhere in Europe, according to Catalan daily Sport.
The Spanish champions—who clinched the La Liga title before the end of the season—are set to play a friendly against Japanese side Vissel Kobe on July 27, marking the latter’s 30th anniversary. The team also has two matches lined up in South Korea as part of its summer schedule.
Barcelona is no stranger to Morocco. The club has previously played twice on Moroccan soil. The first encounter came in July 2012, when Barça thrashed Raja Casablanca 8–0 in a pre-season match.
The second visit was in August 2018 during the Spanish Super Cup final against Sevilla, which the Catalan giants won 2–1.
