Larache beach water mysteriously turns red, sparking pollution fears
Friday 9 May 2025 - 21:01

The water at Larache’s “New Water” beach turned a startling red on Thursday  alarming residents and raising fears of sea pollution.

The unusual color is reportedly due to a discharge from a local factory specializing in red fruits. It’s believed the factory released water mixed with red dye used in its production process.

This incident has prompted concerns about potential environmental damage and risks to human health. Local authorities have not yet issued any official explanation or statement regarding the cause or potential impact of the red water.
