Monday 28 April 2025 - 17:42

Orange announced today that internet disruptions to its service were caused by the large-scale power outage in Spain and Portugal.

The company explained that the outage “affected international connections,” leading to disruptions in Morocco’s internet services.

In a message to its Moroccan customers on Facebook, Orange stated: “We would like to inform you that the internet disruption is due to a widespread power failure in Spain and Portugal, which has impacted international links.”

The power outage in Spain began at 12:35 PM on Monday, affecting vital services and causing significant disruptions across various regions.

The outage also extended to large areas of Portugal and the Land region in southwestern France.
