Trade between Morocco and the EU exceeded €60 billion in 2024, marking a 7% increase from 2023 and a 53% growth compared to pre-pandemic levels, according to the EU Delegation in Morocco.
The EU remains Morocco’s largest supplier, providing nearly half of its imports, and is its primary client, accounting for nearly two-thirds of Morocco’s exports.
More than half of Morocco’s foreign direct investment also comes from the EU. Morocco is the EU’s main trade partner in the Southern Mediterranean.
At the International Agricultural Show (SIAM) in Morocco, the EU Delegation highlighted agricultural trade between the two.
In 2024, agricultural exchanges hit a record €7 billion, with Moroccan agricultural exports to the EU more than tripling since the 2012 agricultural agreement.
