Morocco’s Treasury and External Finance Directorate (DTFE), under the Ministry of Economy and Finance, invested MAD 4.15 billion ($415 million) in surplus cash via a short-term reverse repurchase agreement on Friday.
The operation, set for a three-day maturity, was executed at a weighted average rate of 1.96%, the DTFE pointed out in a press release.
Reverse repos are a regular tool used by the Treasury to manage liquidity and optimize short-term returns on excess cash holdings.
