Leading U.S. defense technology company, Lockheed Martin, a has announced an expansion of its presence in Morocco following a recent high-level visit in collaboration with the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE).
The company aims to strengthen Morocco’s defense capabilities and foster local industrial partnerships under Morocco’s law on defense and security equipment.
The visit, led by Joseph Rank, Lockheed Martin’s CEO for Africa and Saudi Arabia, focused on enhancing the local supply chain and manufacturing capabilities, including key companies like TDM Maroc and SABCA Maroc.
Discussions with Moroccan government and military officials explored opportunities to boost workforce development and self-reliance in defense production.
Lockheed Martin’s 50-year partnership with Morocco includes contributions such as the F-16 Fighting Falcon and C-130H aircraft, marking a continued commitment to Morocco’s defense and industrial growth.
