New car sales in Morocco saw a significant increase of 35.7% in March 2025, reaching 17,417 registrations, up from 12,831 in the same period last year. This brings the total number of registrations to 48,172 units by the end of March, a 35.01% rise compared to 2024, according to the Moroccan Vehicle Importers Association (AIVAM).
This surge in activity is attributed to two main factors: the gradual recovery of logistics chains, which had slowed deliveries in March 2024, and the recent addition of several new brands to the market.
The light commercial vehicle segment also showed strong growth, with 1,801 registrations in March, a 10.69% increase. Among passenger vehicles, Dacia led with 4,421 units sold (+59.76%), followed by Renault and Hyundai. The premium segment saw Audi and BMW leading the way, while Mercedes experienced a decline of 35.25%.
