Maritime traffic between the Spanish port of Tarifa and the Moroccan port of Tangier was once again suspended on Friday due to adverse weather conditions caused by Storm Martinho, according to the Port Authority of Algeciras Bay.
Crossings scheduled until 2:00 p.m. were canceled, except for the 8:00 p.m. ferry, which will depend on the evolution of weather conditions, the same source stated.
This traffic interruption is part of a series of disruptions recorded in recent days in the Strait of Gibraltar, linked to successive storms affecting the region.
Meanwhile, maritime connections between Algeciras and Tangier Med continue to operate normally, according to port authorities.
Storm Martinho continues to impact several regions in southern Spain on Friday, with winds reaching up to 61 km/h along the Cádiz coast, which has been placed under a yellow alert for high waves.
However, no weather warnings are currently in effect in the Strait area, according to the Spanish State Meteorological Agency.
