In a bid to strengthen economic and trade relations between Morocco and Kazakhstan, the Moroccan Exporters Association (ASMEX) has announced the launch of a Morocco-themed Commercial Week in Kazakhstan.
The event aims to promote Moroccan products and establish long-term trade links with Kazakhstan, Central Asia’s largest economy.
ASMEX, along with its partners, has identified two key initiatives: the Commercial Week and enhanced B2B meetings to foster direct dialogue between business operators from both countries.
These efforts are part of ASMEX’s broader commitment to supporting Moroccan businesses in expanding globally, as demonstrated by their “Zoom Pays” webconference series, which explores export opportunities in high-potential markets, starting with Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan, a major importer of food products, presents opportunities in sectors such as agribusiness, cosmetics, crafts, and IT. Despite being Morocco’s top African trade partner in Kazakhstan, trade volumes remain low, with imports totaling $250 million and exports at $24 million in 2023.
