A new low-pressure area is expected to develop over the northwest of Morocco, bringing cold, humid air from the Atlantic and causing varied weather disturbances across the country starting Tuesday.
This system will particularly affect the northern and central regions, with high waves of 4 to 6.5 meters along the Atlantic coast, especially between Monday and Tuesday.
Recent heavy rainfall across various regions of Morocco has already helped boost water reserves and mitigate the water deficit of previous years.
According to Hussein Youabid, communication officer at the General Directorate of Meteorology, this rainfall, while not unprecedented, stands out for its extended duration, starting in early March and continuing steadily, especially in the north.
More rain and thunderstorms are expected for the upcoming week, with snowfall in high-altitude regions and strong winds, as well as potential sandstorms in some areas. Citizens are advised to stay informed and take precautions during these weather conditions.
