Morocco is bracing for severe weather this weekend, with heavy snow, strong rainfall, and powerful winds expected across several regions. The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a red alert due to the severity of the expected conditions.
The Directorate forecasts snowfall of 25-60 cm in mountainous areas above 1500 meters. Heavy, thundery rainfall with localized hail is also expected, with accumulations of 25-130 mm in some areas.
Strong winds, gusting between 70-95 km/h, are predicted, potentially causing local dust storms. The severe weather is expected to last from Saturday to Monday.
