Heavy snowfall (02-30 cm) is expected at altitudes exceeding 1,800 meters, along with strong rain showers, some of which may be accompanied by thunderstorms, on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
Snowfall of 15-30 cm is expected from Tuesday at 3:00 PM until Wednesday at 9:00 AM in the provinces of Beni Mellal, Azilal, Al Haouz, Ouarzazate, Midelt, and Tinghir, the DGM said in an orange-level weather alert.
A similar phenomenon (10-15 cm) is expected in the provinces of Boulemane, Ifrane, and Khenifra during the same period, while snowfall of 02-08 cm is forecast for Figuig, Taroudant, Sefrou, and Chichaoua.
Additionally, heavy rain showers, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms (20-35 mm), are expected from Tuesday at 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM in the provinces of Al Haouz, Ifrane, Khenifra, Azilal, Beni Mellal, and Sefrou. The same phenomenon (15-25 mm) will affect the provinces of Safi and Essaouira on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Midelt and Errachidia will also experience similar rainfall (15-25 mm) from Tuesday at 6:00 PM to Wednesday at 6:00 AM, concluded the DGM.
