The Competition Council has been notified of an economic concentration operation involving the International Finance Corporation (IFC) acquiring a minority stake of 18.62% in Holmarcom Finance Company (HFC).

This investment, valued at 1.35 billion dirhams, aims to expand the existing partnership between IFC and Holmarcom.

Announced in December 2024, the collaboration focuses on improving access to finance and insurance across Africa, with a particular emphasis on supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), especially those led by women and engaged in climate-focused projects.

The deal also aligns with the goal of enhancing the banking and insurance activities of the Holmarcom Group.
