Moroccan international striker Abderrazak Hamdallah, now playing for Al-Shabab FC, is in a head-to-head competition with his former Al-Ittihad teammate, Karim Benzema, for the best goal of the week in the Saudi Pro League.
Hamdallah, who left Al-Ittihad earlier this season due to incompatibility with Benzema, continued his prolific form at Al-Shabab, aiming to surpass Syrian forward Omar Al-Somah as the league’s all-time top scorer.
The two strikers, along with Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum of Al-Ettifaq, are the nominees for the best goal of Round 19 in the Roshn Saudi League.
The Saudi League’s official account on X, formerly Twitter, launched a fan poll to determine the winner.
Hamdallah netted a hat-trick against Al-Khaleej, with one of his goals coming from a brilliant first-time left-footed strike off a cross.
Benzema, on the other hand, scored for Al-Ittihad in their 2-1 win over Al-Taawoun, finishing a low shot after receiving a through ball from Houssem Aouar.
Meanwhile, Wijnaldum struck a powerful long-range goal to put Al-Ettifaq ahead in their 2-0 victory over Al-Okhdood, scoring both goals for his team.
