Here are the weather forecasts for Friday, January 31, 2025, provided by the General Directorate of Meteorology:
Rain and showers are expected in the northern Oriental region and along the eastern Mediterranean coast.
The northern High Atlas and the phosphate plateaus, including Oulmes, will experience passing cloudy skies with light showers. Snowfall is also anticipated in the High and Middle Atlas, as well as the Eastern High Plateaus.
The weather will be cold to very cold, particularly in the Atlas Mountains, Rif, Oriental, Southeast, and the plains west of the Atlas.
Strong winds, at times very strong, will affect the central coasts, High Atlas, southeast slopes, the Oriental, and southern provinces. Local dust storms are possible in the southern provinces and the southeastern Oriental.
Minimum temperatures will range from -6°C to 0°C in the Atlas, 5°C to 10°C in the Atlantic plains and southeastern areas, 10°C to 15°C near the coast and Sahara, and 0°C to 5°C elsewhere. Maximum temperatures will continue to drop in the east and south.
The Mediterranean Sea will be calm to slightly rough, while the Strait will be rough becoming moderate in the evening. Conditions will be rough to very rough along the coast from Assilah to Tarfaya, gradually easing by evening.
