Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech has completed a free transfer to Emirati club Al-Nasr, replacing former Atlas Lion Adel Taarabt, who recently joined Sharjah FC.
Local media reported that Ziyech, currently with Galatasaray, is expected to arrive in Dubai “today or tomorrow” for a medical checkup. The 31-year-old winger, who previously played for Chelsea, was reportedly the subject of interest from several clubs, including France’s LOSC Lille, before agreeing to terms with Al-Nasr.
According to Emirati newspaper Al-Anbaa, Al-Nasr finalized the deal with Ziyech after “prolonged negotiations,” securing the services of a player with a wealth of international and club-level experience.
Ziyech joined Galatasaray on loan in 2023, later signing a permanent deal with the Turkish giants in 2024. However, his stint with the “Aslanlars” was marred by persistent injuries that limited his game time.
This season, Ziyech has made just 11 appearances for Galatasaray, including five in the Turkish Süper Lig and three in the Europa League. His move to Al-Nasr is seen as an opportunity for the Moroccan star to rejuvenate his career in a new environment.
Al-Nasr fans will be eager to see if Ziyech, known for his technical skills and creativity on the ball, can replicate the form that once made him a standout player for Ajax and Morocco on the international stage.
