Morocco’s Fatima Abouali, President of the Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency (AMAD), was elected to lead the executive bureau of the African Union of Sports Medicine.

Abouali was elected on Thursday in Cairo during the organization’s executive bureau meetings, held on the sidelines of a training session on the fundamentals of sports medicine, which took place on January 16-18.

Previously, Abouali had been serving as interim president of the African Union of Sports Medicine following the passing of the former president, Constant Antoine Roux, in July last year.
