Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests Ahmed El Bouari held talks in Berlin on Friday with his Palestinian counterpart, Rizq Abd al-Rahman Salem Salimia, on ways of strengthening Morocco-Palestine cooperation in the agricultural sector.

During the bilateral meeting, held on the sidelines of the 89th Berlin Green Week (January 17 – 26), the two officials focused primarily on cooperation in three specific areas: forests, irrigation and agricultural production, the Palestinian minister told MAP.

Morocco is an essential country on which Palestine relies heavily, particularly in the agricultural sector, Rizq Abd al-Rahman Salem Salimia stressed, praising the depth of relations between Palestine and the Kingdom, as well as the brotherly ties between the Moroccan and Palestinian peoples.

“This relationship is based on solid foundations (…). Morocco is a brotherly country, dear to our hearts”, he said.

Morocco is participating at this 89th edition of the Green Week (Grüne Woche) with a pavilion showcasing the Kingdom’s cultural heritage and agricultural wealth through its authentic and varied local products, as well as high value-added items meeting international standards of quality and sustainability.
