Elements of Casablanca’s Anfa district police arrested, on Friday evening, two road users for reckless and spectacular driving, threatening the security of people and property, according to a security source.

The security services interacted, hastily and seriously, with video footage showing the suspects driving in a spectacular and reckless manner, the same source added, noting that immediate intervention in the field led to the apprehension of the two drivers in question and the seizure of their vehicles.

Further investigation into the suspects’ backgrounds uncovered that one of them was the subject of a national search notice for his alleged involvement in financial and economic crimes, the same source added.

The two seized vehicles were impounded at the municipal pound, while the two suspects have been taken into police custody as part of a judicial investigation overseen by the competent prosecutor’s office to uncover the ins and outs of this case, while investigations are continuing to apprehend all accomplices in these criminal acts, the same source concluded.
