The Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Directorate of Cultural Development has called for a meeting next Tuesday to address the challenges faced by Moroccan students in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the National Association of Moroccan Students’ Parents in Ukraine will meet with Ukraine’s Ambassador to Morocco, Sergiy Sayenko, and other embassy officials tomorrow to discuss pending issues.
Abdelkader El Yousfi, the association’s president, confirmed to Hespress AR that the meeting will focus on resolving problems impacting Moroccan students studying remotely at Ukrainian universities and institutes. Topics include exam-related challenges, document processing, degree recognition, and student transfers. Additionally, the issue of students expelled due to war-related circumstances will also be addressed.
The association views these ongoing dialogues positively, commending the Ukrainian Embassy’s sustained cooperation. This sentiment was echoed during a virtual meeting of the association’s board, held yesterday, to prepare for the upcoming discussions.
In a related effort, the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has scheduled a meeting on January 21 with representatives from the National Association of Moroccan Students’ Parents to examine the unique difficulties students are facing due to the current exceptional circumstances.
The association expressed optimism about the progress made in these discussions, emphasizing the importance of continued engagement with the Ukrainian Embassy to overcome obstacles and ensure the educational advancement of Moroccan students affected by the conflict.
