Moroccan international Yahia Attiyat Allah, currently playing for Al Ahly SC, was transported to a Cairo hospital after sustaining a head injury during his team’s match against Smouha in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The injury occurred in the 29th minute of the first half following a collision with a Smouha player. Although Attiyat Allah left the field on his feet, Al Ahly’s medical team deemed it necessary to transfer him to the hospital for further evaluation.
Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, Al Ahly’s team doctor, told Egypt’s Youm7 news outlet that the defender sustained a cut on his eyebrow and a facial contusion.
“Additional medical examinations are required to determine the severity of the injury and assess how long he will be sidelined,” Gaballah added.
Yahia Attiyat Allah joined Al Ahly on loan from Russian club Sochi, with an option for the Egyptian side to purchase his contract permanently. His injury is a concern for both his club and fans as he has become a key figure in the team’s defensive lineup.
