Moroccan striker Hamza Igamane is establishing himself as a rising star with Rangers, British daily “The Times” wrote on Monday, following a spectacular performance by the Moroccan, who scored a hat-trick against Hibernian (3-3) on Matchday 22 of the Scottish Soccer League.
The player, who has already donned the jersey of the Moroccan Olympic team, “wrote his name all over their performance with a perfect hat-trick and an individual performance which tormented the Hibs defence,” the newspaper pointed out.
“The Times” noted that the center forward had scored a brace after just 18 minutes and praised the Moroccan talent’s defensive role, applying constant pressure on the opposing defence.
The Rangers have a “gem” in this 22-year-old Moroccan, the newspaper stated, adding that Igamane’s numbers are growing with 10 goals in his last 11 games and 11 for the season as a whole.
Igamane is a “rising talent” whose strength, running and range of finishing makes him a real attacking presence, according to “The Times,” which echoed the Rangers coach’s praise of his young star.
“I got a lot of questions in the beginning of the season about why we did that transfer,” said Philippe Clément. “So it’s good that people see why now. He made giant steps the last three, four months: technically, tactically for sure, and even more physically,” he added.
