Morocco’s national team coach, Walid Regragui, addressed the media on various team matters, including the hesitation of dual-nationality players in choosing their international representation.
Regragui emphasized that only those committed to Morocco are welcome, adding, “If someone wants to play for another team, they can go—it’s not my concern.”
“We must value ourselves. Those who wish to represent Morocco naturally love to wear this jersey and are welcome. But if someone is trying to bargain, they have no place here,” Regragui said.
The national coach praised the national pride of the squad that reached the World Cup semifinals and highlighted Adam Masina’s role in defense, while reiterating the importance of Hakimi and Mazraoui.
Regragui also confirmed the call-up of Rida Belhian due to Amine Richardson’s leg pain and assured that Morocco’s goalkeeper lineup, including Bounou and El Mohammadi, remains strong.
